Forscher from California and South Korea has used a new, recyclable material for 3D printing that is water-soluble. The polymer is called PNIPAM (poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)), which was developed in the 1950s and has been found in various types of biosensors and control devices. Now that the University of California, San Diego and Hanyang University in South Korea have been funded, PNIPAM could become a recyclable material for 3D printing.
