When we last inquired about how DC Studios co-CEO’s second season was going James Gunn‘S John Cena-starring Peacemaker, Jennifer Holland (Emilia Harcourt) gave us a glimpse into the stunt training she and Freddie Stroma (Adrian Chase/Vigilante) continued with the stunt team (Gunn: “People are going to freak out over this sequence”). For this round, we have an interesting little mystery surrounding director Alethea Jones (Evil, shining valley) – but before we get to that? Gunn shared an Eagly-involved fight scene from season one to let us know he was filming with Cena and Robert Patrick when he posted it.

As for Jones, here’s where things get interesting. “(DC Studios) is doing some awesome stuff. I’m all for it and I have the hat to prove it! πŸ€ΈπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ’₯πŸ’«πŸ’«πŸ’«πŸ’«πŸ’«” Jones wrote in their Instagram post earlier today, sporting a rather cute Superman baseball cap with the upcoming film’s new “S” logo. Okay β€” it seems like Jones will definitely be involved in the new DCU. Not long after, Gunn posted a screenshot of Jones’ post image to Instagram Stories β€” featuring an image of a “dove of peace.” We’re left to speculate a bit, as we’d assume this means they’re directing an episode of season two. But could Jones’ post imply that there’s more directorial work on the horizon? Possibly. Lanterns? Here’s a look:

Gunn and Peter Safran served as executive producers, with Cena serving as co-executive producer.
