Microsoft Combats Linux Dual-Boot Installation Issues

A Windows 11 update is an update that comes with problems on Linux dual-boot systems (“Swiss IT Magazine” report). Microsoft has used the release health page best now, it is in the August update with the security update that problems can occur if the dual-boot setup is active on the system in question. If all goes well, the Linux distribution is no longer started and the message “Verifying SBAT data failed: Security policy violation. Something serious has gone wrong: SBAT self-check failed: Security policy violation” is displayed.

After a robbery the update is blocked, damage to Boot Manager and the possibility to work with Dual-Boot-Setup, not performed. Leader has the recognition but nothing has been clicked.

Due to the software that users use with Dual-Boot installations, the update is not yet complete, but a Registry installation can only be performed if the issue with the updates is not resolved. The update is available for all updates, Microsoft states on the release health page Anweisungen zur Verfügung, such as Linux which will no longer be available in the future.

The following Windows versions were affected by Vom Fehler: Windows 11 and Windows 10 from version 21H2, Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB from all Windows server versions up to 2012. (rd)
