Termination of ANH contracts – 26.08.2024

Interoil Exploration and Production ASA (the “Company“) announces that its Colombian subsidiary, Interoil Colombia Exploration and Production (“ICEP”), has reached an agreement with the Colombian National Hydrocarbon Agency –Agency Nacional de Hidrocarburos– (the “ANH”) for a partial termination of the exploration and production contract between ICEP and the ANH over the LLA-47 block (the “LLA-47 Contract”).

This termination of the contract is based on the difficulties related to the community’s unyielding resistance to exploration activities. These have prevented the normal development of the activities and the fulfillment of exploration obligations for a long period of time. This has led to several extensions and suspensions of the contract term by the ANH.
