TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Studio Seven6 Yoga will host a free community yoga class and fellowship session on Saturday, September 7 from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at The Venue.

Studio co-owner and instructor Monica Pettus said the studio will host the free outdoor class at The Venue and that all experience levels are welcome.

Pettus said the studio partners with local businesses each month for free community classes like this one. The goal, she said, is to inspire a broader love of yoga and show how everyone can reap the benefits.

“I just want them to come to class and feel great, and just enjoy being in the community,” Pettus said. “The camaraderie and the togetherness is my biggest priority.”

Pettus said everyone is welcome, including children, as long as their parents think they can concentrate on the hour-long class.

After class, participants can meet at The Venue, which features several dining options and ample outdoor dining space.

The location is situated on 6052 Watermelon Road in Northport.

Pettus said there will be another free community class at North River Therapy on Sept. 21. She said this event will consist of a 45-minute athletic stretching class.

In October, Pettus said the studio will be holding a special event for breast cancer patients. The studio is partnering with Bags of Hope to host the class at Studio Seven6 Yoga at Northridge Fitness on Friday, Oct. 25 at 10:30 a.m.

You can register here for the free lessons or just come to the events.
