Western Investment Company Reports Second Quarter 2024 Financial Results

CALGARY, Alberta, Aug. 29, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The Western Investment Company of Canada Limited (TSXV: WI) (“Western” or the “Corporation”) today reported its financial and operating results for the three and six months ended June 30, 2024. Western also announced that it will hold its annual general meeting and extraordinary meeting of shareholders (the “Meeting”) to amend the terms of the transaction with Tevir Capital Corp. (“Tevir“), and other affiliates of Paul Rivett, previously announced on March 22, 2024 (the “Transaction“).

Transaction and Annual General and Extraordinary Meeting Update
Western is in the process of amending the terms of the transaction and, once finalized, will announce the new terms in a subsequent press release. Western will therefore postpone the shareholders’ meeting, which was scheduled for August 30, 2024.
