CHICAGO, Illinois — Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder spoke about the death of Cleveland native Phil Donahue during the band’s concert at Wrigley Field on Thursday.

“Before the Cubs game on WGN, in the morning, there was a guy named Phil Donahue,” he said. “He was a great Chicagoan. He loved Chicago. He loved this place. I got to know him, worked with him, loved him. And we lost him about a week ago. I’ve been thinking about him nonstop.
