West Ham announce arrival of Spanish midfielder from PSG

West Ham have completed the loan deal for PSG midfielder Carlos Soler, with an option to buy for a reported £17million.

The 27-year-old Spanish international made the switch from his boyhood club Valencia to Paris in 2022. Since then, he has played a total of 63 games and scored eight goals.

There have been rumours of the move all summer as the Hammers faced competition from Aston Villa and other clubs.

Coach Julen Lopetegui is said to have pushed for a transfer for compatriot Soler, who played 14 games for the Spanish national team between 2021 and 2022.
