Bärnbach/Köflach have repeatedly fought off relegation in recent years and celebrated a 30-24 victory against Ferlach in their first match of the season. Another representative from Styria, BT Füchse, could also celebrate a victory. Benjamin Teras’ team defeated the newly promoted WEST WIEN with +4. Only Graz suffered a defeat from a Styrian perspective. They lost 31-35 at home to Bregenz, while Krems and Linz drew at the end. The reigning champions arrive in the Wachau region with a weak selection, so the draw is equivalent to a victory.
