German woman (68) injured – Bridge railing broken: Hiker falls from slope

Crossbeam broken at a damaged spot
“As the 68-year-old woman leaned against the wooden, waist-high bridge railing, a crossbeam apparently broke at a damaged spot, causing her to fall approximately 16 feet (5 meters) to the adjacent steep slope leading to the riverbed, where she remained,” police said.
