Bilal Chahal (Netherlands), from a Muslim family, fled home after coming out as a teenager. His installation STOER represents his desire to be himself and to be free. * Sculptor Muhammad Akash (Bangladesh) makes statues of Hindu gods as a Muslim, which often causes controversy, especially during Hindu festivals such as Durga Puja. Why does he do this despite this? * Jasmina Imsirovic Duric (Slovenia) was seen as Bosnian by fabrics because of her origins. They tried to hide this, but later embraced it anyway. Now they also try to encourage the younger generations through folk dance.
