Two children found dead in Blue Mountains home, woman in hospital under police guard | New South Wales

Two children have been found dead in a Blue Mountains home by a relative while a woman was under police guard on her way to hospital.

New South Wales Police said officers were called to a home in Faulconbridge around noon on Tuesday over concerns for the safety of a woman and two children.

The bodies of two boys, aged nine and eleven, were found in the home by a family member.

Police said a 42-year-old woman was taken to Westmead Hospital in Sydney under police guard. She was in a stable condition.

“There is no ongoing threat to the community,” a police spokesman said in a statement. “Police are not looking for anyone else.”

Officers from the Blue Mountains Police investigated the circumstances surrounding the deaths, assisted by the homicide squad.
