Evaluation of Pilbara antimony-gold potential generates positive results

Evaluation of Pilbara antimony-gold potential generates positive results

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Novo has conducted an evaluation of the antimony (Sb) – gold (Ouch) potential of its Pilbara land assets, in light of recent global changes in strategic metals supplies.
  • Two prospects in the early stages of exploration score highly for antimony potential, including the historic Sherlock Crossing (Clarke) antimony mine and the
South East Wyloo Antimony-gold flow sediment anomaly.
  • The Sherlock Crossing antimony mine was discovered in 1906 and operated from 1907 to 1916.1Novo conducted exploration work, collected rock fragment samples and collected soil samples at Sherlock Crossing in 2022, with peak results of 1.71 g/t Au and 592 ppm Sb.
  • Southeast Wyloo includes two 2 km streaks of high order Sb (± Au) stream sediment anomalieswhere the exploratory sampling of rock fragments, which Novo carried out in mid-2023, yielded the best results of 387 g/t Ag, 5.0% Pb, 1.6% Zn, 2.4% Cu, 0.38% Sb and 0.52 g/t Au.
  • Both projects are promising targets and require detailed follow-up exploration.
