Vossloh receives multi-million contract from Deutsche Bahn

WERDOHL (dpa-AFX) – Vossloh AG (VOSSF.PK), a German railway technology company, reported Monday that it has won a contract worth more than EUR 100 million over two years from DB InfraGO AG, the division of Deutsche Bahn AG, for both corrective maintenance, or rail milling, and preventive maintenance, or high-speed grinding.

Both technologies ensure the maintenance of Deutsche Bahn’s rail network and contribute to extending its service life.

The speed grinding agreement has a term of two years and can be extended twice for one year.

The second agreement, for milling rails and switches, has a term of four years, with an option for a one-off extension of two years.

Rail milling is used for track defects with a greater depth, which can no longer be corrected economically by grinding.

Milling can efficiently remove such serious track defects and at the same time accurately re-profile the rail head.
