1. Class 5A #1 Carl Albert (2-0) at Class 6A-II #2 Stillwater (2-0): With three senior OU commits in receivers and defensive backs Trystan Haynes and Trynae Washington and linebacker and tight end Marcus James, Carl Albert is once again a force to be reckoned with. But the Titans will face a real test this week when they travel to Stillwater, which defeated Tulsa Union 36-35 in overtime in Week 1 and Enid 38-23 on Friday.

2. Class 6A-I No. 2 Bixby (1-1) and Class 6A-II No. 3 Choctaw (1-1): Choctaw will look to prove it belongs among the state’s best teams when it hosts Bixby, which rebounded from a 40-21 season opener loss to Owasso in Week 0 with a 50-10 win over Sand Springs in Week 1. The offense is led by Tennessee baseball’s Cash Williams of Choctaw, a senior, and Bixby’s Carson Kirby, a junior.

3. Class 3A #2 Heritage Hall (1-1) at Class 2A-I #2 Millwood (2-0): Heritage Hall and Millwood have developed a bit of a rivalry, having played each other in non-district games in recent years. Among the key players to watch in this game are two senior running backs and linebackers — Heritage Hall’s Barrett Travis and Millwood’s Cameron Carter.

4. Class 5A #5 Guthrie (1-1) at Class 4A #4 Blanchard (2-0): This should be interesting. Guthrie is coming off a 52-14 win over Duncan after a narrow Week 0 loss to Tuttle, 31-24, while Blanchard is the defending Class 4A champion and is perfect for the season. Blanchard beat Newcastle 14-10 last week after sophomore quarterback Noah Smith threw a late touchdown pass to senior Coric Pierce.

5. Class AI #3 Pawhuska (3-0) at Class A-II #1 Woodland (2-0): Both teams have talented senior quarterbacks, as Trey Bennett leads Woodland’s offense and Canyon Hindman leads Pawhuska, and both defenses have been impressive thus far. Pawhuska is allowing just 14.3 points per game, while Woodland is allowing just 14 per matchup.

6. Class 2A-II no. 1 Vian (2-0) at Class AI no. 5 Pocola (2-0): Call this an Eastern Oklahoma battle. Both teams are off to strong starts and there are plenty of talented players on both sides of the ball, including Pocola tight end, receiver and defensive end Dakotah Terrell, who is 6-foot-8, 215 pounds and is ranked No. 6 on The Oklahoman’s Super 30 list of the state’s top recruits in the Class of 2025.

7. Class 6A-I Norman (2-0) at Class 6A-II No. 4 Piedmont (2-0): Norman’s offense has been productive thus far with senior quarterback Phoenix Murphy leading the way. But Piedmont, which runs a triple-option flexbone offense, has a reputation for keeping talented opponents off the field while playing solid defense.

8. Class 6A-I Norman North (0-2) at No. 8 Moore (2-0): Norman North has talent, including one of the state’s top receivers in junior Mason James, but the Timberwolves are still looking for their first win after losing to Norman 37-27 in Week 1 and Deer Creek 35-10 on Friday. Moore, meanwhile, is off to a strong start with a 35-3 win over Westmoore in Week 0 and a 45-13 win over Southmoore on Friday. Norman North will look to slow down senior quarterback Malikai Miller and others in an effort to get into the win column.

9. Class 5A Newcastle (1-2) at Class 4A #3 Elgin (2-0): Newcastle will be looking to bounce back after a 21-0 loss to Tuttle and a 14-10 defeat to Blanchard, but Elgin will be tough. The Owls are loaded with talent and have two star offensive linemen — Tennessee commit Antoni Ogumoro and Navy commit Jace Williams.

10. Class 5A #2 Del City (1-1) at Midwest City (1-2): Del City is the favorite in this game and has a talented roster that includes star junior defensive end and running back Ricklan Holmes II, who has offers from Arkansas State, Iowa State, North Texas, Oklahoma State and Washington State. But the Eagles shouldn’t overlook Midwest City, which has some momentum after a 40-6 win over Putnam West.
