Firm founders are not easy in Germany: Long-term welfare problems, a larger factory shortage and so-called investors are difficult to find. An initiative of the Federal Government will help find the money.

Von Jannik Pentz, ARD-Hauptstadtstudio

Nina Heine will make energy from human separations. “Yes, with us it is the name program”, said the co-founder of SHIT2POWER, a start-up from Berlin. Clearly, the name has a good portion of humor, so Heine. If I am in the core, it is a serious matter at SHIT2POWER. The young companies will come from Klärschlamm Energie gewinnen. If you take a gas, you come from the Klärschlamm.

This idea will be one of the next events. But the road ahead is tough – for everything in Germany. The administrative budget for financing is as high as Heine. If you do this, a new financing project is generally proposed.

Gründer were locked in other Länder

Many start-ups in Germany have problems finding investors. Before all the financial phases became bigger in the späteren, start-ups are often locked in other states – in the Beispiel nach France or in the USA. The sogenannte “Markt für Wagniskapital” is certainly larger. Or vereinfacht gesagt: In Deutschland fehlt Investoren der Mut.

“We are often too risky”, says Robert Habeck of the Greens. The Federal Minister of Economic Affairs will offer “Building bridges” to start-ups and financial institutions. During the “Start-up Summit” of the Federal Government in Berlin, it was all about the 900 Teilnehmer intensive expansion and closing new partnerships. Because the Federal Government has never had start-ups that have built SHIT2POWER, there is a high degree of turnover in the financial sector.

“Talents from the Roten Teppich”

The new Networking-Vorhaben is marketed by the Federal Government Office as a “WIN Initiative” – also an initiative for Wachstums- und Innovationskapital. Schon jetzt since more bekannte Geldgeber dabei, including the Deutsche Bank, Allianz, Blackrock and the Bayerische Versorgungskammer. If you want more Billions of Euros, imagine some of the most common startups you want to help.

The Industry responds positively. “It is a more important step in the right direction and what the potential of Gamechanger is,” says Verena Pausder, Head of the Start-up-Verbands. Gleichzeitig warns of major problems. “Der Fachkräftemangel ist eine Wachstumsbremse. Deshalb müssen wir Talenten de roten Teppich aus rolen. Unsere demographic Entwicklung lässt uns keine Wahl. Dafür müssen Visaschilderahren faster, more efficient and more digital become”, so Pausder.

The talent of the start-up industry is fragmented around the world. “Yes, I want to see a fragment, in the US”, says Nina Heine of SHIT2POWER. If you are at the airport of Brandenburg, you will find a place on the “viel Platz”. They will be with their Unternehmen the first time in Deutschland bleiben.
