Oakland PD Searches for Vehicle, Suspect in Two Armed Robberies

(KRON) — Police are asking the community for help in an investigation into two armed robberies that occurred in Oakland last week, the Oakland Police Department announced in a news release. The two robberies occurred on Sept. 10 and Sept. 11.

The vehicle (pictured below) is believed to be connected to the two robberies, according to OPD. It is described as a newer model, dark gray Dodge Charger sedan. The Dodge has four doors with a spoiler and black aftermarket rims.

The first armed robbery occurred on Tuesday, September 10. It happened around 10:45 a.m. in the 3500 block of MacArthur Boulevard. OPD has not released any other details about the incident.

The second armed robbery occurred the next day around 10 a.m. near East 12th Street and 51st Avenue. According to OPD, an armed unknown suspect entered the back of the van while two other suspects took items from the vehicle.

OPD said it believes the two robberies are connected. The department said it is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible for the crimes.
