Diddy Docuseries Map Sex Trafficking Scandal Coming to ID

The rapidly unfolding sex trafficking and sexual assault scandal of Sean “Diddy” Combs will be the subject of a new docuseries on Investigation Discovery, set to debut in 2025.

The docuseries explores the music mogul’s rise and influence, as well as the allegations of violent behavior and illegal activity that led to his arrest this week. He is currently in jail awaiting trial. Production on the series is currently underway and it will debut on ID and Max.

In partnership with Maxine Productions, producer of “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,” the new series will feature those who allegedly committed violent and brutal acts against Combs, as well as friends and colleagues who knew him before he became famous. Featuring archival footage and reporting from Rolling Stone, the series will shed light on the toxic power dynamics that silenced many alleged survivors.

The project is produced for ID by Maxine Productions and IPC in association with Rolling Stone Films.

News of the series comes just days after Combs was arrested Monday night and arraigned in Manhattan court Tuesday, where he was read the charges and pleaded not guilty to three federal charges, including conspiracy to commit racketeering, human trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.

He was denied bail after prosecutors argued his vast resources made him a flight risk and pointed to his “violent propensity.” He remains in custody, with a bail appeal scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.

The charges allege that between 2008 and the present, Combs and his associates have engaged in “sex trafficking, forced labor, interstate transportation for purposes of prostitution, coercion and enticement to engage in prostitution, drug offenses, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice,” according to legal documents.

In March, ID released “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,” a docuseries that exposed alleged sexual abuse, racism and sexism that occurred on several Nickelodeon series in the early 1990s and 2000s. After debuting to a captive audience, the project was greenlit by Investigation Discovery for an additional fifth episode, titled “Breaking the Silence.”
