Chennai: Class 11 girl allegedly raped by 3, including two minors – Chennai News

A 16-year-old girl studying in class 11 at a government school in Chennai was allegedly raped by three men, including two minors. All three accused have been arrested while the victim is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

The incident took place on September 18 when the girl was going out of her house after returning from school. One of the accused, identified as Sundar, was known to her and started a conversation after seeing her alone. Sundar took the girl along with the two minors to a secluded place and raped her.

The victim informed her parents when she reached home, after which she was taken to a private clinic for treatment. The Thalambur police were also informed.

The suspects were arrested by the police and Sundar sustained a few injuries during the arrest. The case was transferred to the All Women Police and the suspects were produced before a magistrate. Sundar has been sent to police custody while the two minors have been sent to a correctional home.

According to sources, the three suspects were homeless and unemployed.
