Big Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Patch 3.0 adds PC Ultrawide support, private PvE lobbies and more

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 received a long-awaited update in September, adding some much-needed features to the game.

Saber Interactive’s third-person action shooter launched last month to widespread success, but was missing several crucial features, including ultrawide support on PC and private PvE lobbies in Operations mode.

With patch 3.0, both features are now included in the game, along with a Sparring Arena for the Battlebarge and the option to replace custom presets with predefined ones.

The new Sparring Arena in the Battle Barge is available while in Operations or Eternal War mode, and can be accessed directly from the Launch Bay. Once there, you’ll be given your weapons and grenades as if you were in a PvP match, and can battle it out with your Battle-Brothers for your next mission.

There’s also an extensive balance pass that addresses everything from the difficulty of the super annoying Tzaangors with Shield to the underpowered Power Fist. The useless bots have also been given a shot in the arm. Check out the patch notes below.

IGN recently interviewed Saber Chief Creative Officer Tim Willits about the boost he expects the PS5 Pro to give the game, and how the massive success of Space Marine 2 “changed everything” for the studio.

Meanwhile, Warhammer 40,000 superfan Henry Cavill has played Space Marine 2 and given his verdict. We also have details on What fans can expect from Space Marine 2’s seasonal post-launch content modelSeason 2 will run from October until the end of 2024 and will feature a new Operations map, a new enemy, a higher difficulty setting, a new weapon, and various other improvements.
