Two boys, 13, among three arrested after alleged knifepoint robbery in Birmingham

The incident took place just before 7pm on Wednesday evening on Ledsam Street in the city’s Ladywood area.

A man was reportedly threatened and robbed of his bicycle.

A short time later, two boys, both 13 years old, were arrested on suspicion of theft.

A 16-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a stabbing weapon and theft.

They remain in custody for questioning, a West Midlands Police spokesman said on Thursday afternoon.

Police said in a statement that the man was not injured and that the bicycle has since been recovered.
