For the second Saturday in a row, trainer Karl Burke and jockey Clifford Lee won the feature handicap at top weight The Vrijheidslaan proved to be in a class of its own in Cambridgeshire.

After winning the Ayr Gold Cup last weekend with Lethal Levi, who went home 1-2-3 for the Middleham stable, the pair secured another valuable handicap prize.

Liberty Lane, who were well supported 8-1, led the group for much of the £175,000 match and pulled away in the closing stages to win decisively.

Four-year-old Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum, who carried 9st 12lb but was 3lb well inside, was followed home by James McHenry (20-1), Toimy Son (28-1), Bennetot (20-1). ) and Andaep (66-1).
