Inter Milan and AC Milan are not under investigation as of now following the revelation of Ultras ticket scandal

Serie A titans Inter Milan and AC Milan are at the center of a major scandal surrounding their fans’ alleged mafia links.

According to La Repubblica, as reported by FCInter1908Prosecutor Marcello Viola currently does not consider the clubs responsible for their ultras of criminal activities.

Italian police arrested 19 people suspected of criminal links with the infamous ‘Ndrangheta mafia.

It’s a crackdown that props up badly damaged fan groups Inter and AC Milan on Monday.

The extensive investigation has shown that the criminal network has close ties with ‘Ndrangheta.

An Italian mafia group that has grown in recent years to become one of the most powerful crime syndicates in the world.

Suspects then allegedly attempted to take control of all lucrative business activities surrounding Giuseppe Meazza. These include parking, food, tickets and souvenir sales.

In addition, investigators have evidence that several detained high-ranking fans have been involved in drug trafficking.

Giancarlo Lombardi, for example, once a prominent face of the Rossoneri’s famous Curva Sud, is now behind bars.

In addition to Lombardi’s home, police searched about 50 others.

Furthermore, it includes that of Antonio Bellocco, a former local ‘Ndrangheta boss who was murdered a few weeks ago.

Prosecutor Marcello Viola insists the two Serie A superpowers are not on his radar for the time being.

“The clubs have been damaged by this criminal affair,” he said.

“And that is why Inter and Milan – of whom no manager or member is under investigation – are careful not to defend themselves against accusations that no one has made against them.”

Meanwhile, Milan’s leaders quickly issued a report and made themselves available to local authorities.
