Schuylerville man arrested for DWI in Halfmoon

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Aaron R. Carden, 32, of Schuylerville for a DWI early Thursday morning.

Carden is charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, as well as operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked license while intoxicated, police said.

The Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle on Ushers Road at 12:43 a.m. in Halfmoon for failure to maintain its lane and signal for a turn.

Police say investigation after the stop led to Carden’s arrest.

Authorities say Carden was charged with a DWI, first-degree AUO, refusal to take a breath test, illegal signal and unsafe lane departure.

The DWI was upgraded to a Class D misdemeanor because he had two prior convictions in the past 10 years, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Carden was released on appearance tickets at Clifton Park Town Court pending further proceedings at Halfmoon Town Court.
