Laboratory Manual Class 10: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level education board for public and private schools in India. For the students of class 10, CBSE has prepared a comprehensive list of experiments for Mathematics and Science for the academic session 2024-2025.

As students should already know, hands-on work in subjects such as science and math plays an extremely important role in clarifying concepts and increasing understanding. For the convenience of the students, we have made the practice files available in English and Hindi in a downloadable PDF format.

Why is CBSE Class 10 Maths and Science Lab Manual important?

Carrying out and verifying experiments is an integral basis of learning for students. NCERT says, ”The curriculum at the secondary stage is primarily aimed at enhancing the capacity of students to use mathematics in solving problems of daily life and studying the subject as a discipline in its own right. It is expected that students should acquire the ability to solve problems using algebraic methods and apply the knowledge of simple trigonometry to solve problems of height and distances.”

What are the objectives of practical work?

1. Acquire knowledge and understanding, especially through motivation and visualization, of basic concepts, terms, principles and symbols and underlying processes and skills;

2. Develop drawing skills;

3. Apply the acquired knowledge and skills to solve problems and where possible in more than one way;

4. Develop the ability to think, analyze and articulate logically;

5. Develop the necessary skills to work with modern technological devices and mathematical software.

6. Develop interest in mathematics as a tool for solving problems in various fields because of its beautiful structures and patterns, etc.
