Photographer over signals USA-Bildband: “I want to erase, it was gone on the streets”

taz: Herr Dressel, in the belly of Wochen in the United States. See the image of the image “The End Is Near, Here” in plain light. If you want to make it clear that you win: Donald Trump.

Michael Dressel: It’s not that it isn’t possible to become a nihilist, but not yet. Aber ich bin Realist. And as a realist you see that half of the Trump administration is in the fray as a candidate, it was the spirit of the nation that radiated the highest support. Trump is now the symptom of a bigger problem, a weaker spot. There is a hässliche Geschwür, that man sees.

I am an interview: Michael Dressel

Michael Dressel, 66, shot freely in LA and Berlin. The book ‘The End is Near, Here’ costs 29 Euro from Hartmann Books.

taz: Seeing auf Ihren Bildern Elend, de Begeisterung für Waffen, the extreme nationalism, verödete Landschaften. Viele Figuren are Fratzenhaftes en Verkommenes.

Dress: If a major corporation had a problem, it was a cultural and political issue. Diesem Gefühl ich Ausdruck verleihen. I would like to make minutes before the Knall gets a kurz zur kenntnis, no matter how it goes.

taz: Indem Sie den Verfall zeizen?

Dress: It’s nice, the old one, my photos are lonely and tendentious, it gets schliesend on the beautiful thing. If it is possible now: Yes, of course, if the world or America no longer has a purpose. The photo tape is a personal statement, which is incredible. Of course the street in Malibu has never been so beautiful, of course the Wetter in Los Angeles is back in the intestines. If all goes well, this will not be the case in the fall.

taz: Manche Menschen auf Ihren Bildern übertreffen jedes Klischee, dat is schon wieder geligig. Who will find his motive?

Dress: Ganz is a fact, I have seen a room in the mirror. Of course photography is a subject. I have designs that are perfect for my own development. If you shoot instinctively, look at the image and filter. If the theme of the visual band is recrystallized, I thought it would be a chance to see a Gunshow or a Trump Rally, which could lead to more things.

taz: Sie ben seit Jahrzehnten in Kalifornien, stamen aber aus Ostberlin. An air move in the GDR, two years in the fire. They would have grown up and been in the US. Were the United States in favor of a Sehnsuchtsort?

Dress: No, I’m not even close to home. After the 1980s began in the GDR, there was a wide variety of Deutschland across the country. While the first great voyage is happening in America, while we are in a movie freak war, the music, the culture of the country. It is a fact that America experienced war in the 1980s.

taz: “Land of the Free”?

Dress: Yes. These nation-war damals have grown so imperceptibly that the war will end when man emerges from the German Kleinscheiß crest.

taz: Sie wollen eigentlich Maler sein. Who has become his photography?

Dress: I did a study in Weißensee, I haven’t had any malt in the US yet. Dann took up digital photography. It is a sure festivity, which is exciting, in the world of life and which is an unendlichen Vielfalt and Blickwinkeln of one of the wählen, for my bedeutungsvoll. This hat is so soft. The photography works for my obsession and it has never been this way.

taz: Ihr Money has a long life as a Sound Editor in Hollywood earns.

Dress: Kino war becomes unimportant to me. I have noticed a few times: I am more interested in myself than I was on the streets. It is more than the Gesellschaft. Hollywood is fiction and ablenkung. My Photography is an art gift.

taz: Was it your passion, would you perhaps like to enter the fair street of Malibu photography?

Dress: Oh well, I may be involved in photography, but it is never anything other than Importance. It’s for my personal now.

taz: Die Frage war ein Versuch, zu enden here but nor with a bisschen Zuversicht…

Dress: I’ll see you soon! If it is verdammte realism, you will be immersed in the Quere kommt. Wir stehen und een Wendepunkt. It’s no different than America, it’s not that different in Europe. Klar, der Titel meines Bildbandes is provocative. It said: Ey, guck mal, and then gucken the Leute, if you may. If someone is no longer interested, so a book, so a few photos, will not be sold.
