“I’m a big fan of Amazon products. This is a great budget tablet reader. I have poor eyesight and reading from a phone or a book is not an option. So having a text enlarger is a big plus. My only complaint is that there aren’t many apps to choose from. Otherwise 5*” — Bruce

“(…) I love both the video and audio quality of the tablet. I got the tablet to watch my streaming videos and it was a great experience. One thing that really pleasantly surprised me was the audio!! Absolutely fantastic! It’s like having surround sound when watching videos! I also got the case with the tablet and it’s really nice. It took me some time to get used to the case as I maneuvered it into my bed while laying down, but it’s satisfying. After all, these things aren’t really designed with disabled people in mind. But it is a nice quality cover for the tablet. I have a few cats, so the case protects it very well from their tendency to lay on top of the tablet. It’s good protection against falling out of bed when I’ve fallen asleep! So for my first experience with a tablet this is great. I wonder why it took me so long to buy one!” – Helen K. “This is the BEST Amazon FIRE HD tablet yet! I have more, including 2 first generation 8″ tablets (one with a Show Charging Dock) and another heavier 10″ tablet from 2020 that I also love so much I haven’t traded it in! This latest one is also in blue color, which is perfect imo! Light in the hand, with snappy fast processor performance! Excellent battery performance with a lifespan of more than 12 hours! Very strong and durable! They all feature a glossy, durable glass screen. Having dropped the older 10″ tablet on Mexican tiles several times without breaking anything, I already know how durable Amazon makes their tablets. I have cases for all my tablets. This time, however, I bought a cheaper stand-up case for this latest 10″ Fire HD tablet. Unless you’re a device snob, you can’t beat the affordable value of the Amazon FIRE HD Tablet with their beautiful screens for movies, email, books, browsing, and portability, imo! Thank you Amazon!!!” — Placeholder

As an Apple user, I expected to be disappointed and ended up being very satisfied. The screen and battery life are good. I mainly use the tablet to watch YouTube and Max, surf and read. The Silk browser works with the sites I use (for example, O’Reilly Learning). I didn’t need many apps because I have an iPhone and Mac for that. However, the M365 app works well. It can be a little slow if you’re trying to multitask, but it was only $75 on prime day :-).” – Ed BittelBruce

It’s my first time using an Amazon technology product. I really like that it is very affordable compared to its competitor, the iPad. It charges quickly and holds its charge well. The size is very appropriate and not uncomfortably large. It’s kind of hard to find a compatible case since this is a fairly new product, but I was able to get a cheap one from Fintie for $10. The best thing about it is that I don’t have to worry about it ever being stolen. I can have a peaceful state of mind when I take this to school without being paranoid that the person next to me is going to steal it if he or she gets the chance. It’s laggy and glitchy at times, but the frequent updates always fix that. This is a great budget-friendly tablet if you’re a student who can’t justify spending $600+ on an iPad for school (and trust me, you don’t need an iPad. Most students with an iPad never pay attention in the class and perform very poorly when they try to ‘pretend’ to take notes during class). Live frugally as a student and don’t think you need to have the latest technology to succeed!” – Elisa Han
