SIKA CONCLUDES THE ACQUISITION OF CHEMA – A HIGH-PERFORMANCE MORTAR COMPANY IN PERU

Sika has completed the acquisition of Chema, a leading manufacturer of tiling materials in Peru with operations across the country. The acquisition strengthens Sika’s position in the fast-growing mortar market and offers significant cross-selling opportunities through an increased distribution channel presence and a complementary manufacturing footprint.

Founded over 50 years ago, Chema has a strong presence in the distribution channel and offers an extensive range of tiling materials known for their high quality and ease of use. The broad customer base appreciates the efficient logistics organization and reliability of delivery, coupled with a first-class product and solution offering. Four modern factories and seven warehouses provide national production and distribution coverage. The acquisition significantly expands Sika’s Building Finishing portfolio and provides exciting cross-selling opportunities with Sika’s complementary products such as sealants, adhesives, liquid applied membranes and waterproofing products.
