Singapore Airlines will upgrade premium travel experience with its latest cabin retrofit program

Singapore Airlines will invest S$1.1 billion in a multi-year program to install its all-new long-haul cabin products on 41 Airbus A350-900 long-haul and ultra-long-haul (ULR) aircraft. It aims to innovate the network’s premium travel experience, with the airline likely to add a luxurious first class cabin to their soft-seat A350-900ULR aircraft.

Business Class customers can look forward to an expanded experience with their business class seats featuring innovative designs that provide enhanced levels of privacy, comfort and convenience across all 41 aircraft. These A350-900 first and business class products are built from the ground up, with a widespread layout. These are the same seat designs that will be present on Singapore Airlines’ Boeing 777-9 aircraft.

The aircraft will be retrofitted by SIA Engineering Company in Singapore. The first converted A350-900 long-range aircraft is expected to enter service in the second quarter of 2026, while the first A350-900ULR variant will follow in the first quarter of 2027. The entire program is expected to be completed by the end of 2030. .
