Former Auburn CB pledge Dante Core reverses his pledge to Ole Miss

With the early signing period beginning in less than a month, reversals and releases are becoming increasingly common.

It happened to Auburn on Monday, losing three-star cornerback Dante Core to Ole Miss. Core announced its commitment to the rebels on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday afternoon.

Core was previously committed to Auburn since May 18 before transferring to Ole Miss. Hailing from Choctawhatchee High School in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Core is the No. 660 player in the country and the No. 84 player in Florida, according to the 247Composite Sports Rankings.

With Core gone, Auburn currently has 26 commits in its class of 2025. According to 247Sports, the 2025 class remains the fifth-largest overall in the country.
