KKR starts second takeover bid at 9,451 yen/share

Finanznachrichten News

WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) – KKR & Co. Inc. (KKR) announced on Friday the decision to make a second offer at a price of 9,451 yen per share, after receiving support from Fuji Soft Inc. regarding the offer.

The decision comes after the company completed its initial tender offer, in which it acquired approximately 21.4 million shares and stock options for a total of 718,600 common shares on an as-converted basis, becoming Fuji Soft’s largest shareholder.

Notably, the company has raised the offer price to 9,451 yen per share as it expects to strengthen the privatization process of Fuji Soft’s shares.

The board also decided to oppose Bain Capital’s proposal, the company said.

Currently, KKR stock is trading at $149.65, down 0.58 percent on the New York Stock Exchange.
