🚨 Hungary coach Ádám Szalai stable after defeat in Nations League match

The Hungarian FA have confirmed that national coach Ádám Szalai is in a stable condition in hospital after falling ill in the first half of their Nations League match with the Netherlands.

Minutes into the match, the referee stopped the match as Szalai reportedly collapsed on the Hungarian bench. Medical staff quickly attended to him before he was taken in an ambulance to a nearby hospital.

Szalai is a national icon. He made 86 appearances and scored 26 goals for his country over a 13-year period between 2009 and 2022, before joining the coaching staff.
