“Ruhm is now a waste product” – Mark Knopfler feert 75.

His musical silence is incomparable. The striking ones, where the guitar sounds and the warm ones, the baritone voice of Mark Knopfler knows the best way to listen softly – he is a pleasure with “Lady Writer” or “Brothers In Arms” that the Band Dire Straits handles or with songs from his youngest solo album “One Deep River”.

The studio album “Brothers In Arms” was released in Dire Straits 1985 and ended with Weltstars. There are 30 million sold examples of the successful music history. Songs with “Money For Nothing” or “Walk Of Life” can be heard regularly on the radio. Knopfler did not agree. “No, it was like every other album”, says it.

The space was too much

Knopflers rotes Stirn- oder Schweßband wurde seinerzeit zu seinem optische Markenzeichen.
