Schoolgirl found dead in Tiruchi after eating noodles

A 15-year-old girl was found dead in her house in Keela Ambikapuram in Tiruchi on Sunday. According to the police, the girl, a student of class 11 at a private school, prepared noodles and ate them on Saturday night. She allegedly drank soft drinks before going to bed. Her father, a railway employee, had left for work in the night. The girl’s family members found her lying motionless and rushed her to a hospital, where she was declared brought dead.

Police sources said the girl’s family was apparently ready to bury the body when the information was passed on to the local police. The police sent the body to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital here for autopsy. The exact cause of death would be known after obtaining the autopsy report, the sources added. Ariyamangalam police have registered a case.
