Best NBA 2K25 Jump Shots for All Builds – Destructoid

Best NBA 2K25 Jump Shots for All Builds – Destructoid

How to get a good jump shot animation for your MyPlayer in NBA 2K25 will be extremely important.

The relevance becomes even greater in the early days of MyCareer, as your MyPlayer stats will be on the low side. Scoring baskets will eventually become easier as your in-game stats improve. But good animations are second to none. No matter what build you have, certain jump shots are better than the rest (or the default, in case you were wondering).

Best NBA 2K25 jump shots for guards

Guards represent builds of 6ft 4 and under, and you want the very best jump shot animations possible. After all, you do a lot of shooting as a guard. I’ve given two choices – one for lower ratings and the other for when your MyPlayer improves his stats.

Lower ratings

  • Bottom/Base: Allen Iverson
  • Top Release 1: Oscar Robertson
  • Top Release 2: Oscar Robertson
  • Visual cue: set point
  • Release speed: 100
  • Animation Blending: Oscar Robertson at 50% and Oscar Robertson at 50%

Higher ratings

  • Bottom/Base: Devin Booker
  • Top Release 1: Devin Booker
  • Top Release 2: Steph Curry
  • Visual cue: set point
  • Release speed: 100
  • Animation Blending: Devin Booker at 25% and Steph Curry at 75%

Best NBA 2K25 Jump Shots for Swings

Swings are suitable for people between 1.95 and 2.05 meters. I find the basic option to be quite effective for swings, but here is a good, modified setup.

  • Bottom/Base: Kevin Durant
  • Top Release 1: Kevin Durant
  • Top Release 2: Larry Bird
  • Visual cue: set point
  • Release speed: 100
  • Animation Blending: Kevin Durant at 75% and Larry Bird at 25%

Alternatively, Michael Porter Jr. can be used as a base, but his demands are quite high.

Best NBA 2K25 jump shots for big players

If you are like me and are into big men builds, use the following jump shots mentioned here. For now I have used the same jump shots as swings, but this may change in the future.

  • Bottom/Base: Kevin Durant
  • Top Release 1: Kevin Durant
  • Top Release 2: Larry Bird
  • Visual cue: set point
  • Release speed: 100
  • Animation Blending: Kevin Durant at 75% and Larry Bird at 25%

If you don’t have enough ratings, Bam Adebayo could also work as a base.
