How an apparent assassination attempt unfolded… in 60 seconds

Donald Trump has been the target of an alleged assassination attempt for the second time in several months.

The former president was taken to safety after a suspected gunman was spotted in the bushes of his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The suspect, named by the BBC’s US affiliate CBS News as Ryan Wesley Routh, fled in a car but was later apprehended and arrested on I-95.

Trump was not injured and later posted on social media that he was “safe and well.”
