Espoo, Finland – Nokia today announced that it has been selected by CoreWeave, the AI ​​Hyperscaler, to deploy its IP routing and optical transport portfolios globally as part of a comprehensive backbone buildout, with immediate rollout across its U.S. and European data centers. The Nokia solution delivers blazing-fast, reliable performance at scale while driving 30%+ more traffic within the same power envelope – capabilities that are fundamental to the rigorous and data-intensive demands of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) workloads.

CoreWeave supports the most compute-intensive and complex workloads and AI-centric applications. These require a network backbone that provides blazing-fast and reliable customer access to CoreWeave’s services, as well as critical network connectivity to support CoreWeave’s AI cloud infrastructure. As generative AI, ML, graphics and rendering (VFX) requirements continue to grow, Nokia’s IP and Optical portfolios, together with high-performance FP5 IP routing silicon, will provide the high programmability and customization that allows the hyperscaler to evolve with changing traffic behavior and growth.
