The Princess of Wales looked effortlessly elegant as she attended a Sunday church service near Balmoral yesterday.

The 42-year-old royal was spotted in public for the first time since announcing she had completed chemotherapy.

The mother of three was photographed arriving in Crathie Kirk in the passenger seat of a 4×4 driven by Prince William.

The couple treated themselves to a weekend away in Scotland, without their three children, who remained behind in Berkshire.

To attend church with her husband, King Charles, and Queen Camilla, Kate turned to some of her old favorite pieces.

The future queen was photographed wearing a dark brown checked jacket by the Italian brand Blazé Milano.

The stylish jacket, which originally retailed for £1,2000, has a cinched waist and is made from new wool.

Kate owns several coats from the designer label and was first photographed in the style in December 2021.

The royal wore the checked jacket over a simple black turtleneck yesterday and also accessorised with a £109 hat from British brand Hicks & Brown.

The £109 ‘Suffolk’ hat, which comes in six colours, is decorated with orange feathers, which are attached to a brown leather band.

The Princess of Wales completed her elegant outfit with striking gold earrings by Cassandra Goad, which she has owned since 2011.

The three-row chandelier earrings are from the London-based designer’s ‘Journey to China’ collection, which was released more than a decade ago.

The royal opted for her signature bouncy blow-dry look and was also photographed wearing smokey brown eyes and nude lipstick as she headed to church yesterday.

Yesterday, the princess made her first public appearance since receiving the good news that she had completed her preventive chemotherapy, after taking health risks earlier this year.

The princess stressed that her health and staying “cancer-free” remain her priority, as does her young family.

She has announced that she will be taking on a number of public duties and last week she held her first major meeting at Windsor Castle on her Early Years initiative, which is set out in the Court Circular.

The couple, who also visited Scotland with their family last summer, will no doubt have enjoyed the relaxed outdoor lifestyle that the royal family enjoys at Royal Deeside.

It also gave them the chance to catch up with Charles and Camilla in preparation for their big tour of Australia and Samoa next month.
