Solutions30 and Connected Kerb join forces to accelerate UK electric vehicle charging network rollout | 24.09.24

Solutions30, a leading provider of solutions for new digital technologies, and Connected Kerb, one of the UK’s largest public charge point operators, announce a strategic partnership to deliver an electric vehicle charging (EVC) network across the South East of the UK.

Through this multi-year, multi-million pound framework contract, Solutions30 will be responsible for installing thousands of rapid charging points (up to 22kW) across the region. The contract includes the survey and design work, electrical installation of charge points and their connection to the grid, for both AC and DC charge points. It will enable a wide range of charging needs to be met for all vehicle types and give electric vehicle drivers access to charging at a competitive price.

By leveraging Solutions30’s expertise, the partnership aims to accelerate the construction of new chargepoints, optimise investment and speed up connection times. This will help local authorities meet their network rollout targets, particularly in underserved areas. The collaboration addresses a critical need for comprehensive public infrastructure in the UK, where almost half of all homes do not have a parking space to install private chargers.

David Tong, CEO at Solutions30 UK, commented on the partnership: “We are delighted to be joining forces with Connected Kerb on this critical project. Our expertise in designing and delivering EVC infrastructure, combined with our electricity networks and grid connectivity capabilities, will be a key enabler in enabling Connected Kerb to achieve its ambitious goals. For our part, this partnership fits perfectly with our strategy to be at the forefront of delivering key technologies and services in the UK.”

Chris Matthews, Chief Delivery Officer at Connected Kerb UK, adds: “Our partnership with Solutions30 marks an important step in accelerating the roll-out of a charging network across the UK. Their extensive expertise perfectly matches our mission to make EVC available to everyone. Together, we will help build a cleaner, more sustainable future of transport, while addressing the specific requirements of the UK market.”
