Press release

Mangaluru, September 30: ‘Color can help facilitate and fulfill some very basic human needs. It can: identify and specify necessary objects (animal, vegetable or mineral) for survival and/or enjoyment. Most importantly, the use and arrangement of color allows us to create beauty and harmony and express our personal taste, which gives us a sense of satisfaction.’

First Steps Pre-School celebrated Kudroli Blue Color Day with elegance on Monday, September 30. To celebrate the celebration, all the little ones wore blue clothes and brought different types of blue colored toys, bags, water bottles etc.

The classroom was decorated with blue streamers, balloons and table settings. The notice board is designed with blues cards and the sky theme.

The teachers collected the children’s objects and placed them on a table, taught the children the names of the objects and also introduced many other facts about them. Through various activities, the students gained a thorough insight into the color Blue.

The children actively participated and were very happy and enthusiastic. Parents were equally excited and overwhelmed by their child’s participation.

Dean of Students Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) Shameer Ahmed was a guest at the event. He addressed the students about the importance of colors and explained the purpose of organizing such an event to boost self-confidence and creative culture among children.

Senior lecturer Himna S. Ahmed explained the importance of color in our lives. She added that blue is the best color to create enthusiasm for life and can inspire greater self-confidence and optimism. In the meaning of colors, blue inspires original thinking and curiosity.

Blue is the color of energy, power, strength, determination and passion, desire and love. Blue is a very emotionally intense color. Children learned the meaning, importance and identification of the colors.

School principals Himna and assistant Rameeza decorated the classrooms with blue objects that children can easily identify with. They created beautiful blue tables, blue curtains, blue balloons, blue toys, blue boxes, blue balls, blue chocolate, blue juices and blue cutouts etc. Everywhere the children looked, they found something in blue. Learning was fun on the blue day and the children are looking forward to learning about another color.

Event coordinator Shehzan S Ahmed expertly arranged the event, which added an extra dimension to the event.

At the end, each child was sent home with a blue crayon as a prop. The children colored the theme sky blue as an indoor activity to commemorate Blue Day.

The event ended beautifully with a drink for the children of the kindergarten.
