Salem Academy defeats Crosshill Christian for its third Class 2A volleyball title in four years

After finishing second in 2023, Salem Academy bounced back in 2024 to win the Class 2A volleyball state championship on Saturday with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-14) victory over Crosshill Christian.

This is the third state championship for Salem Academy in the last four years and the team’s fifth overall.

The Crusaders were led by Emma Brewer, who recorded a double-double with 27 kills and 10 digs. Jordyn Copeland had 12 kills, 20 assists and seven aces.
