Paradefloat is a ship model named after a Longmont veteran

Dear Johnnie: I enjoy the Veterans Day parade in Longmont every year, but until this week I was baffled by the presence in this parade of the small “sort of scale” model car of the USS Edmonds (DE-406), an American naval destroyer escort that saw action during World War II and the Korean War.
