Porsche unveils second-hand battery at German factory

Porsche has unveiled a battery energy storage system (BESS) at its Leipzig plant powered by second-hand Porsche Taycan batteries. The project is based on a feasibility study conducted in collaboration with the Zwickau University of Applied Sciences in Saxony, Germany. From ESS News The BESS using second-hand batteries at Porsche’s Leipzig plant has a capacity of 5 MW and an energy content of 10 MWh.
