Teachers from Eastern Palestine expected in class on first day despite lack of contract

“With our high school teachers just beginning to enter their classrooms, we feel it is critical to prioritize their time for classroom preparation,” said EPEA spokesperson Carrie Cope. “Furthermore, all of our teachers need time to prepare for Open House next week and the first day of school the week after. Given these pressing needs, we are focusing on addressing the needs of our students rather than engaging in extensive negotiations.”
