The Korea Fund, Inc. Announces Commencement of Public Offering

The Korea Fund, Inc. (the “Fund”) (NYSE: KF) today announced that the tender offer (the “Tendering Offer”) to purchase for cash up to 12.5% ​​of the issued and outstanding common shares of the Fund at a price per share equal to 98.5% of the net asset value per share determined on the date the tender offer expires, will begin on Friday, August 16, 2024 and will expire, unless otherwise extended, at 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on Monday, September 16, 2024.

The Fund’s Board of Directors previously announced its intention to launch a public offer in a press release dated July 10, 2024.
