John Capestro-Dubets and Eric Filgueiras took victory in the Pirelli GT4 America race at Road America on Sunday. It was a dramatic race that went against the RS1 duo.

Capestro-Dubets drove his No. 28 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport to a 0.539-second victory over the No. 68 Smooge Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO of Tyler Gonzalez in a five-minute shootout following a series of two full-track cautions.

The two cars dramatically traded leads several times, with Capestro-Dubets narrowly gaining the upper hand.

Kevin Boehm led the field on the final restart, but his No. 97 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT4 was given a drive-through penalty for exceeding the speed limit in the pit lane.

He decided not to take the penalty and finished first in the standings, but was given a post-race penalty and finished twentieth in the overall standings.

That came after a dramatic first restart, when the No. 51 AutoTechnic Racing BMW of Colin Garrett and the Pro-Am class-leading No. 7 ACI Motorsports Porsche of Curt Swearingin made contact entering Turn 1, resulting in a spin for Swearingin.

Garrett was given a drive-through penalty for the incident and finished 19th.

Pro-Am class honours went to the No. 24 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin Vantage GT4 of Roman De Angelis and Gray Newell after the incident with Swearingin.

The No. 23 TechSport Racing Nissan Z NISMO GT4 of Johan Schwartz and Jonathan Neudorf finished second in class, while the No. 18 RS1 Porsche of Roland and Auatin Krainz completed the podium.

The No. 099 Rotek Racing Porsche of Robb Holland and Jaden Lander meanwhile won the weekend in the Am class.

The No. 36 BimmerWorld BMW of James Clay looked set to move into second place in class until Clay went off track just before the final restart.
