HSSC Constable 2024 recruitment for 5,600 vacancies starts on 10th September, check eligibility criteria

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has released the recruitment notification for 5,600 vacancies of constables, including 5,000 for male and 600 for female candidates. The registration will start from September 10 and will continue till September 24. Eligible and interested candidates can apply on the official website at hssc.gov.in.

HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Vacancy Details

This recruitment is taking place for 5,600 police positions and is divided into three different categories.

Category 1 (male officer, general service): 4,000 vacancies

Category 2 (female officer, general service): 600 vacancies

Category 3 (Male Constable, India Reserve Battalions): 1,000 vacancies.

HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification: Those who have passed the Group C examination can apply for this recruitment drive. In addition, candidates must have passed their class 12th or its equivalent examination from a recognized board. They must have passed their class 10th (Matric) examination with Hindi or Sanskrit as a subject.

Age limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 25 years old on September 1, 2024. For SC/BC/EWS candidates, an age relaxation of up to 5 years applies. Former military personnel will be given a break of up to four years.

HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Steps to Apply

Step 1: Visit the official website: hssc.gov.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, navigate to the recruitment section and select the link for Advt. No. 14/2024.

Step 3: Fill in the application form carefully and attach all required documents such as personal details, educational qualifications and other relevant information.

Step 4: Upload scanned copies of all required documents

Step 5: Recheck the form before submitting

Step 6: Once you are satisfied that all the information is correct, submit the application form online.

Step 7: After submitting the form, take a screenshot or print it out for reference.

HSSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Selection Process

The selection process consists of several phases:

— For the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), candidates are required to meet specific physical standards as per the guidelines of Haryana Police.

— For the Physical Screening Test (PST), the male candidates should be able to run 2.5 km in 12 minutes and the female candidates should be able to run 1 km in 6 minutes. The ex-servicemen should be able to run 1 km in 5 minutes

— The knowledge test has a weighting of 94.5 percent and contains objective questions. The examination medium is bilingual (Hindi/English), except when language proficiency is tested.

— Candidates must score a minimum of 50 percent to be eligible for general category jobs. For reserved categories, the cut-off is 40 percent. Candidates holding NCC certificates will be given additional marks (1-3 marks depending on the level of certification).
