IGBCE pays 8% more Entgelt für Beschäftigte der Papierindustrie | 20.08.24

FRANKFURT (Dow Jones)–The IGBCE Association is paying 8 percent more in tariffs for the 46,000 employees of the paper industry. “The employees have suffered enormous real wage losses in the past few years. They cannot even further expand their pre-selection of who gets the paper industry,” says IGBCE negotiating director Frieder Weißenborn.

The German paper industry is the IGBCE market leader in Europe and the largest exporter worldwide. In half of 2024, production will start with 7 percent zugelegt. For all types of paper and paper as packaging material and for technical material, the quality of paper hygienic and graphic paper is stagnating.

The Federal Tariff Commission has set the provincial application a limit of 280 Euros, one of the Entgeldtgruppen in the area of ​​employment. The awarding of the tariffs is completed by the IGBCE with a total package, while the additional permits for industrial workers are scrutinized. The tariffs are paid and start on September 26 in Wiesbaden.
