Atalanta close to completing transfer of Raoul Bellanova

Serie A club Atalanta are close to completing the signing of Torino right-back Raoul Bellanova.

La Dea are in a bit of a crisis in terms of their squad, but they didn’t show it on Monday, beating Lecce 4-0 in their Serie A opener.

Gianluca di Marzio have confirmed they are looking to add Bellanova to their squad, with the player returning to the club after four years. The deal will see La Dea pay between €20 million and €22 million for the wing-back, who impressed last season.

Torino initially wanted €25 million, but the deal was closed for a slightly lower amount after Atalanta made enquiries about Juan Cuadrado.

There were also delays in La Dea’s transfer for Wesley, but as Atalanta wanted to sign a right winger quickly, they decided to sign Bellanova. Earlier, a bid for Neco Williams was also rejected.
