CreativeWorkStudios Presents “As Far Away, So Deep Within” A Transformative Fusion of Art and Science

Ross Lovegrove, known for his evolutionary design philosophy, will interpret data from the Polaris Dawn mission aboard SpaceX’s Dragon, which includes the world’s first civilian spacewalk and other groundbreaking experiments on board. This data will inspire a spectacular series of limited-edition artworks that will be available for display and sale to the public.

Ross is one of the world’s most acclaimed and influential designers, known for his use of advanced technology to produce futuristic, organic forms. His portfolio spans a wide range of creations, from iconic furniture, consumer products and visionary architectural concepts.

As Far Away, So Deep Within” aims to be not only a visual spectacle but also an educational experience. It serves as an intellectual bridge connecting the empirical reality of space travel with the aesthetics of art exploration. Ross Lovegrove.

Support of St. Jude

This collaboration not only highlights the wonders of space exploration, but also aims to support the life-saving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.®. 50% of proceeds from sales will be donated to St. Jude, supporting their groundbreaking work fighting childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

The project marks the second collaboration of its kind for //CreativeWorkStudios, following the success of 2021’s “An Important Memory for Humanity” with artist Refik Anadol, which successfully raised $2.6 million for nonprofits.

“We are thrilled to embark on this extraordinary journey that shows how art and science can inspire, heal and expand human potential.” – J.Harry Edmiston

Vision and objective

“As Far Away, So Deep Within” seeks to represent and showcase the groundbreaking efforts of human space travel. This series is a profound expression of human health and endurance within the context of our space environment, told through innovative interpretation of real data from the Polaris Dawn mission.

Each artwork in this collection is an intricate fusion of the scientific and the artistic. The series uses medical and environmental information acquired during the flight, transforming these elements into beautifully curious and thought-provoking 2D and 3D artworks. Transcending traditional art forms, the collection offers viewers a unique insight into the complexity of human physiology in space and the critical importance of space exploration for future scientific advancement.

Complementary exhibitions invite the public to engage with a story that is as much about human resilience and potential as it is about the beauty of complex scientific data. The collection will be a testament to the symbiotic relationship between art and science, cognitive intuition and factual analysis, and underscore the role of artistic interpretation in advancing public understanding and awareness of critical scientific topics.
